Hope everyone is having a great Sunday afternoon and enjoying your time off.
The dictionary defines the word winner as: a very good or successful person. We had 24 students who were very good and successful band students that were actively practicing on All-State level music! In my book, or anyone's book those students would definitely be defined as "winners." Not only were they becoming better musicians as individuals but I can also hear the difference in the improvement these students are making in band every day as we work on our State MPA music.I wanted to let you know how proud I am of you all for working so hard and diligently on bettering yourself and the band! 42% of our Wind Ensemble was working on All-State caliber music. We had 3 students get accepted into the All-State Bands, Charlie Mercier, Laurel Wheeler and Meg Wilson! (13% of all of our students who tried out for All-State) and we had 4 students who were accepted into the District Band. Charlie, Laurel, Meg and Karen Muniz. (17% of all of our students who tried out) This is awesome! Again congratulations to all of you and especially to these 4.
